Woody, awhile ago you posted a request for the "recipe" for putting a camo paint job on an XJ. Just wondering -- did you ever find the info? If so, how's about sharing it with the rest of us?
I just shot the Jeep all over with hunter green satin, then freestyled with flat black and brown in a crude imitation of US Mil. Woodland Camo. (random blotches of earth-tone colors...)
Once it cured for a few days, I wetsanded it lightly to kill any pesky gloss.
I think it came out pretty good...a whole lot better than the grey primer it was.
YA, that would be most excellent as I have thought about doing a cammo job on mine. Found a couple pics on the net but nothing that cought my eye. did one on a 76 K5 blazer once from cammo paint from an army surplus. looked pretty good. When the sides got scraped just broke out the rattle cans and covered it.
