ive searched for the past few days for some kind of write up on a wj steering box swap into an xj, but havent had any luck. can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA

There are a number of posts in various threads that discuss and show pictures of the WJ box swap.
I've made the swap myself. It does require a significant amount frame destruction and re-fab.
Search Advanced Fabrication for "wj steering", and specify posts by "XJBUBBA". This should net you 5 or 6 threads that discuss the install of the WJ box.
They will give you insight to the difficulty.

Using a Durango box doesn't interest you?

People choose the WJ box if they are trying to gain more room for a wider radiator. I believe the Durango box is similar to the XJ box, in that it mounts inside the frame, versus on top.
