Big thanks to Joe, I now have brake lights -- oddly, brake lights didn't work because of a bad hazard flasher... strange. Still struggling with the right turn signal -- the rear works only if the key is off, and there is power to its switch all the time when the key is on (even if the signal isn't). I appear to have a bad bulb socket in front right though, which may help a bit... Welcoming further opinions from anyone else, as the right turn signal issues left Joe and me scratching our heads this evening!

Not a problem. I must say that is quite the wiring nightmare you have.

I'm wondering if there isn't something shorting out inside the column to make the right side go live like that without a switch... I may pull the column further apart.

Who knows. I need to get a good look at a good diagram to get a beter feel for how it should be layed out. I will run it by a few coworkers and see if we can come up with a plan.
