Can someone please tell me how to turn the damn thing off! I just had to have my computer redone and everything got reset, I dont remember how it shuts off. Ive looked and looked and looked and if i get one more freakin' pop up I may end up in a nut-house. TIA.

Under Win2K, it's in Control Panel/Administrative/Services. Stop the Messenger service.

I should point out that if you're on a broadband hookup, you *REALLY* want to get a firewall in place.
