Will this setup hurt my rig?

My catalytic Converter was clogged, so I tried to take it off to hollow it out. It was rusted fast, so I cut it off. I now have my Flowmaster 40 in its place. Will this burn any valves or anything?

The reason he is asking the year, is because 96 and newer have a o2 sensor in the cat, right at the back.

Any other year, no problem.

Oh, sorry about that. I figured 4.0l I6 was all you needed and that's given =P it's a '94 Cherokee Sport 4.0L HO w/ 24lb 4 port injectors

There you go assuming all over the place. The Cherokee was also made in a 2.5L all the way up to 2000 IIRC. Not real popular in the later years, but they made them.

You won't burn your valves but you might lose some low end torque if the backpressure drops very much.
