I am going to install a new cylinder head and camshaft on my 2000 Cherokee 4.0
I have a Mopar Performance cam part # P4529228 and I am wondering if it is a direct replacement for the stock cam and if it will work with stock valve springs and timing set? If I order the stock cam, a verification on the part number will help eliminate any surprises when I install it. I have the stock cam part number 5301044AA?

Thanks!

Pretty sure you need some parts that will let you run the older style cam. A little spring, washer, and bolt. Hopefully a guru will chime in with a little more detail.

I don't know what springs the cam requires but to use it in your 100 you will need to ditch the stock timing set and retaining plate and go with an older style timing set, cam bolt, pin and spring.
