Just got back from a trip up there this weekend.
Between Bucks Ranch road and W
Metal Fences with snow fence filler have been erected to prevent access to any of the Pipeline trail south of a point some 1000 feet south of the challenge area called "Thunder Mountain". The trail length of this northern section of the trail is about 2 miles, and extends between Bucks Ranch road and FR-2102C.
Between W and hwy 64
Much of this had been closed to motorized traffic. I observed more closures when I was up there.
When WOHVA took over the care of this trail from the Wisconsin 4-Wheel Drive Association, they were supposed to keep it open, or create an alternative route that was less of a risk in the NFS's collective mind.
I don't have any feedback from them on what is the future of this Historical trail.
