Why You Shouldn't Let Your Wife Wheel Your Rig

Yeah no SH!T...we only have to take one set of pictures.

Why a 98?

All the V6 folks say how under powered it is compared to the 4.OL. However dino's show the V6 pulls more horses and more low end. I think the feeling of less power comes from the 4dr crowd. I thought it was way under powered until I looked at how much my 4dr JK weighs, 5500+ lbs. Almost as much as a fricken full size Suburban!

Well I haven't done any research on it yet, so 98 is just a guess for now. I have a 98 XJ, I'm hoping that I'll be better able to afford a older Wrangler.

I have a 4.0L so I know it. Same parts, etc... Having a different engine would make maintenance just that more difficult.

You have the perfect wheeling buddy now! Plus you can pull each other out!

So when does the lift go on? Wheels, and tires?

I'm hoping to do the same thing, however I'm leaning towards a 1998(+/-) model Wrangler.

Yeah, I figure I'll be spending this coming year teaching her how to wheel the thing. Heck, I need to learn how to wheel the thing.

Lift and new wheels/tires won't be coming for a year or more. I've got too many plans for the XJ that I need to finish up first. :)

Sounds like a plan, although with the feedback I get from my wife about "her mustang" I'm not sure how well it will work out for you. lol
