why does a rough country 2" lift kit lift the from 3" and the rear 2"?

Re: why does a rough country 2" lift kit lift the from 3" and the rear 2"?

Most trucks and SUVs sit a little high in the rear because the designers of the the owner to actually do work with the vehicle which would include carrying heavy loads in the back or towing both of which would weigh down the back end. They give you a little extra height in the rear so you aren't starring at the sky when you are hauling stuff around.

Unless you are using add-a-leafs with really wore out sagging leaf springs then expect it to be level or just a tad high in the rear until the springs break in a settle down a little bit.

haha yeah, i was searching for any threads about similar issues and this the same problem i was having.

to get the 3" in the rear, did you just end up using shackles? i was just curious what you think of the on/off road driveability with those in place (if thats what you went with)
