looks like I will be bringing an unfinished jeep to Moab :(

I'm looking for a couple good wrenches (fab skills a plus) to help me with silly odds and ends.

a post wrench-off inspection will commence to find and tighten finger-tight bolts, and weld over "positioning wleds"

oh, little note: lots of you like to use the "was funny last year" inside joke about the welding, without a full understanding of where it came from.....its been played out don't you think? so if any of you nutbags find additional "positioning welds" you got me for another year, otherwise, you're just going to have to come up with something else.
diggit?

volunteers will be hand-picked.

volunters must be able to endure ridicule, bad attitudes, and should be able to tolerate being sworn at. Volunteers are encouraged to return any foul treatment.

volunteers will be payed in canned beer. All tasks have pre-determined beer quantities associated with them

freeloaders and by-standers will be ridiculed, sworn at, and have atf sprayed at them.

help pretty please with sheep dander on top.

Beezil,

I will help but I only drink bottle beer, I'm from SoCal! LOL

I'm the only one who gets to give you shit for welding for EVER!

Actually I would rather just take my chances and stand around and watch with lots of crappy unwanted remarks about what you did and are doing wrong. LOL But that's only when I'm not out wheeling my junk. :D

If you left now and headed to SoCal we could finish them both before heading to Moab. :D

hinkley (can't wait for Moab) mark

How do you expect to get volunteers when all you are offering is a "canned beer" reward? You know I'm in, but I'll need an aromatic Merlot, preferably a Robert Mondavi, year doesn't matter. If Merlot is not easily accessible, you may substitute it with a "not so meaty" Cab if you wish. I'll also need a cheese plate and someone to hand feed me the cheese, as my paws will be dingy.

HTH,

I can install your floor mats :D

But seriously, I can kick breaker bars pretty hard :anon:

So by volunteering instead of spectating we would be trading our own been and atf for your CANNED beer and bad attitudes?

Hmm, atf and bottled beer sounds might appealing.

Do you think you'll need anything? I've got a D35 and some broken tools I'd be willing to donate to the the cause. Only if you use them. :D

I can't wait. This is already turning out to have the makings of a great time.

Canned beer????? THE EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah... I'm willing to help :) As I know that the further we get into the event the more likely I will need help to get myself mobile to make it home (I've got a string of bad luck following the rear end of my jeep... right about from the shifter backwars!!)

Well you know you can count me in. Hell after last year I'll even work without the beer (Please, I mean it's canned man:( )

Looks like we will be getting in Sunday sometime. I don't think we are going to make the 21 road run. The Mrs and I will be taking the southern scenic route instead.

It'll be nice not working on my own sh*t in Moab for once...(did I say that out loud? )

Bones :skull1:

Beezil..I feel you. I still have so much to do that I have to resort to taking sleeping pills at night or I cant sleep thinking of all that still need sto be fabbed! I am planning on leaving Friday, but it will take a true miracle for me to make this deadline. I might have to leave as late as Monday missing Tues and Wed festivites.....this really bites..I always do this crap to myself, leave things to the last minute, but not always do things work out the way I want them to. :(

Been begging my brother to give me a hand but the selfish little prick all of a sudden is so busy...looks like PUV will be charging him retail plus 5% commision for any purchased goods for now on...he just lost his cost price break....that'll learn'em.

B, I'm in the same boat. C&R Motorsports has completely and utterly screwed me. I blew my top on them yesterday. I think everybody in the shop could hear me over their machines ( I was up front in the office). Looks like I'm gonna have to bail on 21 Rd. Got my cell mount figured out last night, it'll be built tonight. I have some very good and friendly helpers over the last few days. They'll be rewarded when I return.

Sean, I'll have my junk behind chewy or bones' cabin....

pull up right next to me, and we can swing dual sawzall/welder/grinders.....

I think NOW is the time to figure out if we can fire up a 220 welder, don't you think?

we may need to post a sepearte thread.....

you wanna just go with fluxcore for ease?

you bring the welder, I'll bring some wire.......

do you have bottled beer to give the workcrew?

what's your damage report besides?

is the front done?

I'll help, and I enjoy BudLight. Please bring ridiculous quantities.

I'll have my rechargeable wire feed, and Goat will have his underhood.

It'd be a heck of a lot easier with a real 220 unit, though.

Do you guys need any steel or hard parts?

CRASH

I was planning on bringin my 110 wirefeed with some fluxcore just incase...

???Bad Idea to bring small 10cu.ft. oxy/acetylene cutting torch???

Should have loaned a 120/220 transformer last week. DOH

I got one for 120/480 3p but it wont handle the amp load of a welder ;-(

I can wire those 6 pairs of offroad lights and the sub system, amp, caps, 4-12" subs......and the GPS system along w/ the bolt on brush guard! ;-)

I will only work for OLD STYLE BTW

Chewy

chew....

LOL @ old style.....

remember I brought a buncha cases of that last year?

that surprised all the folks that thought I was a beersnob

and...

keeps the beer cooler thievin' freeloaders at bay, thats for sure!

crash, my wife is from st. louis, there IS NO OTHER BRAND!
