Who uses GPS, and which one?

I'll put a vote for Garmin products. I have a Rino 120 that I have been using for about a year and have no complaints. If you find something that interests you just do some research on the product, get reviews, complaints, recalls, etc..
Just read up on the product before you buy.

I have a magellan sportrak color. I love it. Color is really nice. The serial connection isn't THAT slow. How hard is it to hit upload and eat a cookie for a few min?

Compared to USB? Yeah...its slow. How big an area have you tried to download at once? If they get too big it will take hours.

Garmin Etrex Legend...BTW has anyone bought any of the software for these? Just wongering if it's worth the $100+

I have the MapSource and Love it!
The Legend, Mapsource and a laptop and you will NEVER get lost!
I have used my laptop in the Jeep and it's sweet! You don't have to look at the little screen on the GPSr, you have it right on the laptop!
FWIW: I belong to Weber County Search and Rescue and we use all Garmin Products/Software because of their accuracy and detail.(just a little punch for a great product!)

Honestly... Microsoft's Streets & Trips is probably the best bang for the buck. It's around $40 and, as much as I hate to say it, *way* outperforms any of the freeware stuff out there.

Good to hear. I especially like the idea of uploading topo maps for hiking/camping/etc.

I have a Garmin GPS72 a cheaper version of the 76. Works great for what I need. Some Geocaching and finding my way back to the jeep after a long day of walking through the woods with a rifle/pistol. I would call it hunting but most of the time I never kill anything so its just a walk through the woods.

Magellen - Meridian Gold with 64M card with "Street Maps"

Had Garmin E-map until if fell off the dash one to many times.

For anyone looking for cheap GPS navigation software, check out this thread.
