I've been called a few things around here, Mostly bad things I can't repeat but anywho...... I'm Aaron Thompson and I am running for director. I have been a part of the MWC, the greatest of all chapters, since 2007. I have attended 3 winterfests(09,10,11) and nearly every trail cleanup at Redbird. I have not been around nearly as long as Sean or Mac but I think I have made my fair impression on the group. I have helped with the planning of WF for the past two years and will be helping this year as well. I've came along way both in my wheeling capability and just life in general in the 4 years I've been involved with NAXJA and the MWC and I'd like to give back.

Mac and Sean both have experience in various BOD and officer positions, whereas I have none but want to step up and help get some new blood in there. I don't really know what I'm getting into but am willing to find out. I would like to try my hand at it and am willing to learn. I hope you'll consider little ole me in this position as I think I can be a great asset to the club rather than the post whore you've all grown to love.....or hate....:D

If you have any questions for me, I'll be happy to answer them. Good luck to the fellow MWC'ers that I am running against!

If anyone is first in line to bust balls, I'd like it to be me. It involves your post-whoring. Do you feel, and I'm being 100% sincere, do you feel that your quantity over quality of posts can hinder your ability to answer any questions with a true, personal response?

Again, I'm being sincere. I know you're one of my homies, but with the general well-being of the chapter, are you up to the task of having solid input over going with the flow?

Again, I'm being sincere. If this comes across as curt to you at all, that's not my intention. *I have had a few to drink.*

No, it won't affect my ability to answer a question with a true response. Yeah I may not be serious on here very much but I have never had a reason to be really. :dunno:

What is your opinion on a second event and if you would like to have one, where would you want it?

If we have the funds available it could be a good Idea. Most of the wheeling is centered farther east in the chapter, which you know is close to us. We need something farther west in the chapter to get people who drive 10+ hours to WF to be able to attend or for people who can't afford the long trip due to whatever they have going on.

P.S. what improvements do you feel the MWC could use, and what do you think is an asset you can bring to the table?

As for improvements I'm not real sure. I feel the MWC is in pretty good shape, We have lots of active members out there and have been attracting members from other chapters to our events as well as honoring our agreement with Indiana DNR for the trail clean up at Redbird. For the most part we all get along and do what it takes to keep BS to a minimum. I feel I have a pretty common sense approach when it comes to thinking and reasoning so I think that could be a big help. I'm also not afraid to give my input on a subject.

I have to say, Aaron. You are extremely dedicated to NAXJA, the MWC and our events. There is only one event I've been to that you weren't there and I can say the other side of that is not the same. There are many events you have been to with me not there. You seem to have quite a grasp on what it takes to be a supporting member. Not just $35 a year. What are some of your ideas that we (as a chapter and a BOD) can do to get other members to dedicate themselves such as you do? I know that it's difficult to get to all of our unofficial events, but Redbird is one (2) very important event. I know 2011's clean-ups have seen more new faces, but what can we do to get the numbers up for those events? *And others, but this is the perfect example*

It helps being a single guy.......i don't have a family or spouse i need to dedicate my time to like most guys so i have time to waste! Its not so much that we need more people showing up, just different people ya know. Truthfully running 21 with more than 10 or so rigs would get out of hand pretty quick and take too long. Tyler is willing to drive 10 hours to show up, maybe we can get some of those guys farther away to show up but with gas prices and all that its hard for people to get out.
