who is going to the GLJT T4T parade?

I know a lot of places...
prob is, it's got to have enough parking and be open 24hrs or reeeeal early on sunday...

I'll work on it...

Bayou is fine for me but for all you suburban folk, it might be 10am or later before you find a parking spot without having to parallel park or pay for it. :D

White Palace
Greasy Spoons don't get any Greasier.

24Hrs, but not sure if moving Maxwell Street Market has affected it.

Any greasy spoon sounds good...
Hell even the IHOP at 3760 N. Halsted sounds good...
It's close to Lake Shore Drive...

Bueller?

That food at Blue Bayou sure was good last year, and the bloody marys were awsome.

Blue Bayou is a big Negative...

I just called and they don't open till 10am on Sunday...

next suggestion...

Seriously, we should look for somewhere close to the start of the parade, if part of the idea of meeting beforehand is to arrive and do the parade as a NAXJA group. If we have to drive halfway across the city, chances are slim that we'd all be together by the time we got there.

The White Palace would be a good option if it were not for the maxwell St flea market being moved to Canal St. That's right where the WP is, and remember, it's a sunday, and I don't want to scour the Flea Market after eating breakfast to buy back my wheels :D

You DO NOT want anything you want to keep, anywhere near...

I've seen it happen... before ya start telling me I'm bs'ing...

working on alternates...

options...

Steak N' Egger
1174 W. Cermak Rd., Chicago, IL

Then there's the king of greasy spoons:
Maxwell Street Depot 411 W. 31st St., Chicago, IL
just North of Comiskey next to the train tracks...
Pork Chop sandwiches you can smell 1/2 mile away with a nice big parking lot

I vote for the 31st St place, just because it's on 31st and so is the parade start. Probably only a 10 minute drive. The big parking lot sounds good, too.

It's actually only about 5 minutes cause once you cross the edens you fly thru the projects till you reach IIT's campus... :D

I vote for this one too... Also based on the fact that it's a few blocks west of the 90/94 Dan Ryan in scenic Bridgeport...

What time?

Sounds like you have found a good choice.

I really wouldn't say "good"...convenient mainly

Just remembered a better place a few blocks from the Maxwell depot...

it's on 35th and Halsted....

I'm looking into other options as well...

Gotta make sure they're open and how close they are to LSD and 31st

I'll update tomorrow
