92' 4.0L, AX15, NP231, 4.10 gears, and 5 inches lift, 33x12.50 tires.
I need new tires. I had made up my mind that I was going to get the bfg all terrain 33x10.5's, along with some 15x7 black steel rims. Well I came across some rims last week for a price that was too good to pass up, the only problem is they're 15x8, not 15x7.
MY DILEMMA IS THIS:
I currently have 33x12.5's on 15x7's and I air down every time I'm on the trail, starting at 15 to 18 psi and going down to 9 or 10 psi if necessary. Will I still be able to do this with 33x10.5's on 15x8's, or will airing down with this setup be more of a risk? Basically, now that I have 15x8's, will I need to stick with 33x12.5's to air down w/out worry?
All opinions are welcome, and I would definitely like to hear from some people with first hand experience on the issue. Thanks!
