which springs to use

i am planning on long arming my 00 xj but i dont know which springs to use.
either the re ones and get the whole kit, or buy the upgrade and get bor springs or dpg's trailgunner springs. any thoughts are helpful

Well, a few threads down, you'll see a discussion going on about aftermarket rear springs between BOR and a competitor.

As far as going complete kit, or using pieces, I'd say you can't go wrong with RE. But for aftermarket pieces to put together a good home-brewed lift, go BOR Super Flex.

Come to think of it - BOR can sell you the RE kit as well, so look JohnJohn up on his BOR site and ask him this same question.

Long Arms and considering a whole kit, because this option would probably be cheaper. I'd really consider Full Traction and TnT.

Really? The Rubicon LA kit is one of the worst on the market.

really? what problems have you seen with it. i was going to do a rustys kit on my last jeep but his customer service and shipping sucks so no more with them

Rustys sucks too. Just the design of the crossmember on the Rubicon kit leaves alot to be desired. You won't find a whole lot of people on here running that kit. There are just much better options out there. What don't you like about the FT kit?

just never a big fan of ft. installed a few wrangler kits about 3 years ago at the one dealer i worked at in bakersfield and i just did not see any amount of quality to them. of couse things could have changed in that time.

You won't read anything but good about the XJ LA kit over here.

From experience...I couldn't complain about the RockKrawler long arm upgrade when I went with longarms...stood up to a lot of abuse. Not a bad price either...around $450 for the three-link. Pain in the ass to install, but solid. I also ran BOR leaf w/ Chevy shackles and flexed like mad.

My opinion only...if your going to do the longarm, there's only three companies with decent products: Clayton, RockKrawler, and TNT

I like my RE leafs alot and seeing thats all I've ever run and the fact that many of many XJ guys live by them I don't think you can go wrong with them.

hey i would go on the chinamans run but unfortunatly i am moving that weekend into the new house that i bought in the springs so that takes priority. the next run count on seeing me there. the only other isssue that i run into is most trail runs that everybody sets up are on saturdays, and thoose are usually the best days to work at my job and thoose are my scheduled days to work. i can take one off but a lot of money lost. but to shut yuo up and prove you wrong count me in on the next one, ok there chief?
