I agree that the need for ZDDP is somewhat paranoid in our cases. We don't have high lift cams with high pressure valve springs turning high rpms. It's more a case of "Should I watch ZDDP levels just in case it DOES make a difference?". Most of us have worn out valve springs turning under 3000 rpms most of the time.
