Which is better, custom fab 4x4 or factory tow hook brackets?

I have two sets of tow hooks now. One set is used and it is the factory tow hook set including brackets, hooks, and hardware. The other is a brand new custom 4x4 fabrication complete set. Which one do you all think I should put on. Is one stronger than the other?

honestly, 6 of one .5-dozen of the other. Both are good. Both will bend if used incorrectly. Use them wisely and pimp the other set out for gas money

The C4X4 are hands down stronger, especially in a side pull as the angle brackets across the front of the frame spread the support out. The stock brackets don't have these.

The Custom 4x4 is very much stronger bracket. No comparison. Only problem with Custom is that theri hooks don't protrude through the plastic under the bumper of my '97 so I had to cut the plastic to access the hooks.

I would suggest using the Custom mounting bracket and seeing it you could fit the factory hooks onto them.
