where to buy cheap stereo

I normally head over to downtown LA. But that's a drive from falbrook so walmart is probably your best bet. That or craigslist.

I bought an Alpine blue tooth CD player in downtown LA for $130 earlier this year.

thanks. ya LA is way too far. and even 130 is more than i want to spend. just something cheap that will accept an Ipod/Iphone. we are in a dead zone for reception. sort of between LA stations and san diego stations. neither come in well. i figure walmart is most likely best for something like this.

Both of my jeep have radio's from wal mart. They work good an i run with half or no door in the desert a lot. Not like i need a dam boom box to ruin everybody's weekend. :)

i hear you on not needing a CD drive. those are allready getting phased out in the computer industry. and i am not looking for the best sounding, most power, elite system out there. just need SOMETHING cheap for the 94 camry i use to take the kids to school and such. it has nothing. on longer trips to grandmas the kids tell me to turn on "their" music (childrens CDs). and since my MAC decided to quite its CD drive i can no longer transfer them to other devices, so i need the CD drive on the stereo. no extra cash for an external CD/DVD drive for the MAC. and since i found out i can run "I heart radio" through the phone that would cure the no reception problem. i did not even realize they had bluetooth systems. wireless connection with my phone or Ipod? awesome. can i get something like that for under $100?

Don't even bother with a CD player. Anything with Bluetooth will play music from your phone/iPod/whatever. No moving parts = cheaper and sturdier.

+1 on this. I think the CD player in my Jeep and my car have both been used exactly once... then I said "yup, it works." USB connection, Bluetooth, or aux input jack are all more useful these days.

I think this is the one I put in the Heep

has everything I could possibly want in a single-DIN. Would like a bigger screen for easier navigation of a USB drive but I'm limited by dash space.
