I think I'm in love. I think you need to talk to my wife. I can't get that 1+1=2 talk through to her.

As someone who would like to go wheeling with a couple of fellow XJs, let me through my 2c in.

If this is truly a noob run, and there are people with stock rigs who don't want to get body damage then Tahuya is the only place I know of that I would really recommend. A few months ago I wheeled with a guy in a totally stock MJ there and he didn't have much trouble at all.

That being said, judging from the poll above, is the weekend of the 14/15th at Tahuya the plan? If so I would like to make plans for attending, though I wouldn't exactly consider myself a Noob anymore.

Was saying the areas picked were not even around the same area one in Western Washington and the other on the far side of Eastern Washington. Just tryin to get a figure for where ya'll planning on going since I would like to attend if I know what place we are going instead of this last min. stuff............... seems so undicided. :wow: hasta :scared:

Still not sure what you're talking about. :dunno: Tahuya is near Bremerton, about a 1.5 hour drive from Seattle, and Liberty is just East of Snoqualmie pass...about a 1.5 hour drive from Seattle. Not exactly on the far side of Eastern Washington.

Though I do agree we need to start firming this up.

Like IXNAYXJ said Liberty is off Blewett pass, just east of the mountains. Liberty is more challenging then Tahuya, not sure how much there is there for a totally stock, or close to stock rig to do. I'm not even remotely stock though so what ever you guys want is cool with me. I just want to run with some XJs instead of all these cute little CJ/YJ/TJs I usually find myself surrounded by.

Is there some kind of official type person who can say, this is where and when? If there is going to be a lot of stock-ish type rigs I would say Tahuya though. Anyone can wheel Tahuya.

Ok. Looks like the majority of the vote is Tahuya for the weekend of the 14th/15th. It will be held there, if anyone knows if the south loop is opened back up.

If it has not, I would like to see it at Reiter. If anyone is farmiliar with those trails, let me know.

If I don't get an answer by Friday, Ill be doing a run out there to check that evening/night.

I know some of the trails at Reiter, KarlVP knows more than me, I believe he's running the con right now but I'm sure he'll chime in when he gets back. If anyone wants to check out Reiter a great time to do it will be on the 7th during the clean up. Clean up in the morning, lunch then guided trails in the afternoon.

Ya, karlVP is running the Rubicon with a bunch of friends of ours. I don't believe he's coming back until the 5th. I've run most if not all of the trails down there. We usually run the back door trail and then stack up when we have the Noob runs. The Cable trail and the Wall trail might also be doable, great view at the end of the Wall trail, make for a nice finish to a day.

I'd be interested in Tahuya on the 7th; my wife and I will be down there for our anniversary anyway.

I've never been there though, usually I go to Walker Valley or North Fork before it was shut down.

Ahhh well someone will prolly wait till 6:30pm Friday the 6th to post the 7th and 8th are the dates to go.................. i hate last min deals :confused1 :confused1 :confused1 :confused1 :confused1

The poll has been closed for a few days now. The dates will be 14th and 15th at Tahuya, or Reither. I am going to check out Tahuya on Friday night, for a simple 2wd night run, to see if the place is worthwhile.

Iffin I can make it, what's the minimum requirements? Stocker with front/rear recovery points & a tow strap (and, uhh, radials)? Or, uhh, can I get by without front recovery points?
