Just to let you know, the south loop of Tahuya is CLOSED due to a fire. The investigation is currently underway.

Will keep you guys posted on what's going on.

And with that, I vote for Reiter Trails.
I've only been to Reiter a couple times, but IIRC the trails were more of an advanced nature. Are there some more basic trails I've never seen?

If it doesn't get better, or opened by the end of the month, a revote will be in order for a different place.

How is Reiter anyways? Noob frendly, some hard stuff too? Camping or ?. More info will help.

Does anyone remember what loop we ran last time out there?

I can escort you guys through reiter. My buddy Mike can do the same and take a group in his XJ too. There are campsites around the area on RT2. Or you can primitive camp at either of the two parking areas.

Reiter trails has everything from mild to wild. We could do two groups, a "stock" and a "hardcore" group. Once you see Mike's XJ, you will understand by what we mean when we say hardcore.

Reiter is a BLAST though. With as dry as it is, you can really test your abilities and your rig safely.

If you guys want to do a pre-run to check out the trails, let me or FiFo on this board know. If any of you want you can PM me for my number and I can take you out and show you around. I am always out there and would love to escort your guys through the woods. (I won't be available from sept 22 to oct 9, I'm going to run the Rubicon) But Mike (FiFo) will be available.

Just look for this crazy fool (Mike).

i dont care, long as its between the 12th and count 20 days after that lol. i just wanna go jeepin. plus the new project needs to go on a noob run once i fix the no start issue. mebbe we could incorporate a wrench fest? i have all parts, just needs installing now.

With Tahuya being more noob friendly I voted for it, but if the south loop is closed I change my vote to Reiter. There is stuff there for rigs like Avanteone's and xjoe's as well as stock rigs and everything between. I'm sure 2xtreme wants to tackle the stairstep and ecksjay you want to go down the poop chute in the dark again... I'm sure KarlVP and I can get a few people from nw-wheelers as well as ourselves to help show people around.

As my rig was disabled(fuel pump issue), I went out to Tahuya Saturda with a few friends, and thier Yota and Mazda.. Checked out the trails. The south loop was closed(already told about it), which is a bummer. The real only fun trail, at least to me. There was a crew out there working where the fire was at, and I should of asked them how long the investigation stuff was going to last and when it would reopen. But alas, I thought about it on the way home. (All burnt up near the rock gardens at the end of that trail)

The mud hole was all dried up. Duh, lack of rain. There is some decient stuff, which still should be good for stock rigs. At the end of the month, Ill see if the south loop opens back up.

OK I was only at Tahuya once in a ATV and we parked at a place where there was a big waterhole to the front and people camping to the left. Is this where we'd be camping? Also, all I really remember was gravel roads and some minor quad trails. I saw the last noob run pics and I saw the gravel roads and a pile of rocks. Is that about it? If 311A at Evans is about a 5 of 10 what's the toughest trail at Tahuya?
