Still debating where to go, but thinking somewhere just southeast of Winchester where I'm at. Probably Iron Gap Rd and the surrounding area, I was there last week and there's a lot to explore. There are some pretty good rocks through there. I also want to see what these are at 35.094461, -86.148971, they look like big sink holes or something.

Picture's an example from the area, on Dry Creek. For the bottom of Iron Gap, bigger rocks than the picture, I'd say 33's and at least 1 locker are recommended.

So who wants to go wheeling? I'm up to go somewhere different if there's already a group going elsewhere

Aetna's too far for what I'm looking to do Saturday, maybe AOP but not sure it'd be worth it. What's it like there? I was mostly just wanting to explore the hills outside of Winchester.

So anybody that wants to go, lets meet at 9:30 Saturday morning, at the gas station at 35.180676, -86.118574. It's on hwy 16 headed into Winchester, last chance to get gas before heading away from town. From there it's about 8 miles to the trails.

See you next week at Wooly's, Redneck??

It looks like theres a lot more to explore trail wise in your area than middle tn. How far is that place from Nashville?

Wish I was closer my friend!

Be careful riding in that area and posing on public forum.... especially locations.

That place is all private land and TEA has threatened to take actions to land owners that 'allow' people to ride the creeks. They cruise these forums and find this evidence to slam against us.

Also be careful riding there during hunting season. Lots of hunters will be out there and they are not afraid to approach you gun in hand. The local forum calls that place 'area 51' to keep people from knowing about it. usually an invite only type place.

So if you continue to ride there then please dont post the locations of the trail heads and try not to post pictures and refer to it in name as well.

btw. This place IS the best crawling anywhere within a 500 mile radius. I have been riding there for YEARS and would like to keep it that way.

Love some good local knowledge. Future trips should involve pm's and text messages. Good looking out
