Wheeling In MD?

Try looking up the Maryland Mud bugs,I think they are located near Baltimore.Any way they come to Va. to wheel.

I'm over here in Smithsburg.... that'd be near Hagerstown.

I am just north of Baltimore......never did much wheelin' in MD.....cause, I don't think there is any!! There are some "roads" in Greenridge State Park in western MD that some guys in high school used to ride......I never thought there was much to them. Northern Shenandoah is the closest place I guess....near JMU.....

Have been at school in SW VA for the past 4 years.....not too "up" on what goes on around here......

not that I even let my jeep touch dirt anymore or anything!! couldnt let that happen!!

There's wheelin' it's just mostly on private ground. About the only way to get on those places is to be a member of a Club which has permission to use them, though.

HaHa......well, what can you expect when there isn't anything?? I have lived in MD all of my life and have never heard of ANY good places to wheel. Go to VA, PA, TN, KY, or NC to have fun...........

Oh, oh ... Em's gettin' air again :jester:

We have the same problem in Connecticut. Scanning boards from local clubs, the consensus is that there isn't ANY place to wheel in CT that's legal, except maybe one trail in one state park that some say is legal and others say is "legal" only if the rangers don't see you.

Unfortunately, you live in the Boston-Washington "megalopolis" and a lack of off-road venues is one of the prices we pay.

Gettin' air??...........no comprende.

Just trying to let him know what I know....sorry if I stepped on toes.

I think he was referring to jumping over obstacles rather then letting your “Jeep touch dirt anymore or anything”

Correct.

"Getting air" or "catching air" is what they call it when you jump your truck and get all 4 wheels off the ground. I was just funnin' ya about not letting your Jeep touch dirt.

Well I'm a MD Jeeper although my Jeep experience is limited due to the aforementioned lack of venues and a vibe issue that has kept me from traveling too far. Hope to have the vibe finally fixed next weekend.

I am GREAT.....who is this?? I thought this thread was dead and gone. I got selected to guide but chose to drive cross country instead : ).......pretty easy choice!! i didnt feel like dealing with all of the people and chaos really.....or running into anymore trees along the way!!

I will be leaving in about a week to go to NC to work for Outward Bound for a while.......otherwise, I am in the Baltimore area working for a temp agency while i await my security clearance for my big scary job in dc.......

but, i still dont know who this is!!.....

my life in a nutshell.

M

i graduated this spring......moved back home to save some money so i can afford to rent an apt in DC when my job comes through early next year.....

it will be nice to get away for the next month....

where in MD are you?? any clubs have meetings coming up?

M

Hey Emily.. I guess your back near Loch Raven or somewhere (memory is crap) I am up in Bel Air / Forest Hill .... clubs yes, worth speaking of, not really.... I gave up Maryland Jeep Association when I sold my first XJ... I am not sure what the people that have it now are doing if anything....last time I talked ot you, you and the BF/Husband were packing a Smai in the trailer sideways to go to Moab I THINK....

haha...hmmmmmmm...i dont know where you got that one from!

we drove cross country...did rubicon and moab...but, without the sami!!.....couldnt afford the fuel or headache of trailering all the way out there and back..awesome trip tho.

i am right around loch raven..............
