I ran 1.5" spacers on the front for over a year and no failures.. Now I don't have to worry about it.. I say go for it..

My concern with the aluminum ones is that they're all (AFAIK) made of 6061 - which will quite possibly not handle the thermal cycling of disk brakes. Meaning eventually they'll fail. However, everything eventually fails. It's just a matter of when. I've only ever seen a couple cases of failed spacers, so I'd not be too concerned.

I have spacers on my disked rear. They're aluminum. So...

These are what I have. 6061. They seemed pretty solid the only thing I felt might be a problem were the studs they provided. I have not had an issue though.

I put them on the 8.8. Since they were only an 1" I had to trim the tips off of the stock studs to clear them. I used rtv to "paste" them up and bolted them down with locktite.
