you are correct, it is a true import from and built in Korea, it uses all Mazda drivetrain parts and suspension.

SR20DET. or RB26DETT. I looked at both as swaps, and they're very feasable.

The SR20 sits way back and gives the car a nice front/mid weight balance.

I was throwing around the RB26 swap then i was gonna build it into an RB30 but I decided If i was going to go into all of that, I would just go to the 20B...

1967 cougar, only for the sunniest of days.It has been in NY for its entire life and only has one small rust spot on the passenger rear quarter. Has the original 289 with 74k on it, also had a three speed but swapped it out for a T-5 from a 94 5.0 a couple years back. This overdrive transmission combined with the 2.79 gears out back has netted me 27 mpg on the highway before:woohoo:


I am always on the verge of mini tubbing it, dropping in a fuel injected 351, Global west coilovers and making it into more of a track car but I think it has to wait a couple of year before that happens.

Something small and 4x4. Toyota or S10 would be ideal, but I also am partial to the Nissan's of the late 80'-90's. I know I'll want to play a little plus I live down a dirt road that gets a bit muddy on the rare occasion of rain/snow so that's why I want the 4x4. But I don't necessarily want anything to mod or lift since the reasoning for it is to be able haul stuff that won't fit in an XJ, Focus, or minivan...

You might have luck posting in your local CL forum. That's how I got my truck.

If you get an S10 let me know, I used to play with those and have some knowledge on them.
