I'm sorry. It was hanging out there and I couldn't resist
Lets see: best I can figure - 1/4 Irish from territories around the estate of Lord Kingsborough (but probably from English stock imported to Ireland by Elizabeth in the late 16th century). Immigrated to the US in the late 18th century: 1/4 Swedish, immigrated in the late 19th century: 1/2 German (one Grandma was Pennsylvania Dutch, the other was from Missouri, a descendant of German immigrants to the Missouri River valley in the mid to late 19th century). My phenotype is Nordic.
The one I always select is "White, non-Hispanic." I guess I'll just go Caucasian.

I would be taking a dim view of this work if I were marking it. ie: since when is 'Canadian' an ethnic group?

Very true! There are only three "races" in Humanity:
Caucasoid (white/Latino/anything that doesn't fit in the other two...)
Mongoloid (pretty much any Asian - epicanthic folds about the eyes and a "yellow" skin tone are the big traits here)
Negroid (or, commonly, Black. An overabundance of melanin - skin pigment - and tight curls to the hair - caused by tight follicles - are the main characteristics. Large lips and broad noses can also factor in, but not always.)
If you aren't Mongoloid or Negroid, you are Caucasoid. I don't know why they settled on "caucasian" for the catch-all - I'm fairly sure there are Caucasus mountains somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I don't think I've ever been there, and I'm fairly sure the Caucasians are found in a LOT more places than a single mountain range...
Those mountains are west of the Caspian Sea, I think the Armenians, and Azeris fought over them for quite a while.I flew over them once, and I was quite amazed to see, a red lake, and then a few miles later a green lake, then a few miles more a blue lake.I actually did my first crawling in those Mtns. In a Diesel Mitsu 4door compact truck. It was there that I decided that I wanted a NIVA. which is a cute little russian made 1979 toyota corolla looking thing with solid axles.Oh and I am Cauc. What are the Indian people called when they have excessive pigmentation? I have seen some extraordinarily dark Indians with curly hair.
I voted other cause I have been somewhat confused ( I think being polish is the reason for that). My ex always told me that I am a dog. She never did elaborate on what kind of dog it is that I am (which leads to more confusion).
