What's the most HP for a 4.0?

I'm thinking more like 700BHP/1000NM +, attained through clever forced induction with sequential twin-turbos and serious intercooling. The limits, as I can see it, lies within the outdated valvetrain.

One must not forget that there are countless BMW, Toyota and Nissan I6-engines (similar factory size and output as the 4.0) that push upwards of 1000 horses.

So true. My buddy has an old school Nissan 280 Z with an I6. Turbo, nitrous, the works. "Bad Ass" is an understatement. IMO the inline 6, no matter who built it, is an excellent engine platform with countless ways to make amazing horsepower and longevity.

If an inline 6 is good then a V12 must be even better....its just two stuck together.
