Man. The weather here was gnarley. It rained early a.m. and the froze over when the snow came. Highway 82 was a skating rink and a RFTA bus slammed into a Coca Cola delivery truck. Trapped the bus driver but she's OK with both her legs broke. She was trapped for an hour or so as rescue workers had to pull the front of the bus out about 2 feet to free her.
People still didn't slow down and a mile down the road towards Basalt, a guy spun out and went down the embankment. He's OK.
So as a warning, if you're in this area and are driving, take it easy. The roads absolutely suck.
4-wheel drive be damned, ice doesn't care.
