What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Hello Houston NAXJA!!!!!

How many of us are in or near Houston now? I see some new faces here and some are closer to me than before :-)

Also nice the RR chapter has survived.

I think there are 4-5 in Houston. I've been back and forth but based in basically Houston the whole time.

I was just thinking that about the chapter surviving.

I remember when we had just something like 5 of us in 3 states to form the chapter in 2008-09 ish?

I am near Hobby Airport.

I'm in Houston.

Heights currently but end of next month I'll be moving to Katy. Just bought a house.

I'm in Surfside, about an hour south of Houston. It is by far not the most active chapter, but we try to keep it going.

we need to do a beach meetup

OK quick question... I was draining my battery when just sitting at home. Discovered it was what I thought was radio. Pulled radio and it's not so on Fuse 9 on my 87 it is for radio and interior lights. I have no interior lights at least no bulbs. I pull my doors for tube doors.

My question is... I guess I need to cut / remove the door closed relays. I don't know if when depressed they remove a voltage or just remove a ground???? Can I just cut those wires? What about the other courtesy lights can I just cut the wires? I have to leave the fuse in to use my radio :(

On my 99, the door light "plungers" can be removed with a socket. There's a quick disconnect behind it. Easy peasy

Will, that was it I just unplugged both sides. I could not find anything on the tailgate... I don't remember if it turned lights on or not? But it's mostly closed so should not be an issue

I wonder if that is what is draining my battery on the latest renix I bought.

I aired up the low tires on all my jeeps :-)

So, what started out as a 4x4 swap and some basic sliders and a rear bumper. Has become a full on truggy build. Shortening the wheel base to 105, triangulated 4 link, air shocks, and exo....
