Replaced the brake booster today on the 89, 2WD Cherokee. Now I need the correct bolt, sleeve-bushing, and nuts for the brake peddle, brake light switch assy. The booster that was in this one had the wrong booster shaft (hole too small) and smaller bolt to match it, the hole and bolt were two small a diameter. I had a thread on that about 2 years ago. Hope to find one (bolt-sleeve, bushing and nuts) in a JY or ???? Once I get that part, and get it back together I can check the upper TC lock-unlock switch action, and location.
Found out the bushing I need for the AW4 tail cone is 38 MM (seems they used 35, 38 and 40 MM, and the books do not reveal what year is which on them, so I had to pull the drive shaft and measure the female slip yoke diameter. Now I can order the right bushing and seal on Monday. The old bushing is worn, loose and slowly leaking Trans fluid.
Ordered the same parts for the 87 Wagoneer, NP-242 transfer case tail cone, same exact bushing problem. Did some tune up work on the 2001 Saturn.
