What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

85 Jeep firewall patch is now built, installed and working very well. IT is back to DD service :D

.....but

I am sad to say my right knee and leg-knee muscles went out on me, so I can not brake and clutch at the same time. So back to test driving the 87 auto, to see if the sudden death syndrome gremlins have headed my vacate notice and moved on not. They probably just move on to my knee, Bloody Bast*rds!!!!:rattle:

Gave up my 4th rental car of the week tonight, and I am back to depending on ancient jeep technology for DD services!!!! LOL

Got my sons Ford inspected, and it passed:D!!! Check out the interesting lean code story on the OEM forum here, that I will post tonight. IT is an interesting OBD-II error code story, not vehicle specific!!!

Installed a valve body/shift kit in my AW4

Replaced the Sony head unit in my XJ with a new JVC unit. Has rear USB, so I ran the wire down under the console to the ash tray, now I dont have a wire hanging out to use my ipod.

The Sony was apparenlty not grounded, which explains some of the funny behavior it had.

Today I changed out the spark plugs and wires, gave it an oil change and new filters. I also spray painted the bumper with black bed liner paint and installed new off road lights on it.

thinking later this week once i get inspected, i'll do my lift and axle swap. i really want to go all the way and 4x4 swap. but seeing as i've never done one i'll need some help

I did an oil change on my DD 89'. Good thing I do not use regular Dino oil. 7000 since last change....... Opps. I usually only go 5-6k between changes. It does have 260,000 miles on it though. I use max life 10-W40 and she gives me no running issues at all.

i ditched my rear swaybar, told usaa that i daily the jeep and only drive the trackwagon 2 days a week, and fabricated a CB mount where my compass or what ever was in between my visors. and tomorrow i'll wire the CB into the accessory power off the compass or what ever it was.
