hey look some character

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I started the break down of the 8.8 and started to design a way to mount the computer in the XJ.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I started by replacing this
HPIM1492.jpg

with this (the stocker will go on my DD)
HPIM1493.jpg

and found this(had a coolant leak I could not find and added dye to help, I can definitely see where it is now)
HPIM1496.jpg

then replace them all while there to look like this. YES I wanted the brass ones but all I could find as I needed them right away was steel. They are dorman # 565-069 for the brass ones and #555-069 for the steel ones

Now it is 11pm and I started at about noon or so and the added time to find and go get the above mentioned freeze plugs(from my work), it was a very productive 11 hour Jeep work day, which is far better that my actual job work days ever are.. Well I will bleed the coolant system in the A.M. and will do it all over again on the DD(with out the freeze plugs I hope). The DD will get the stock manifold I just took of my Rig/DD so my rig can stay my rig and my DD stay my DD.

After tomorrow I should have all my stuff for my D44
I have the
D44
new rear "Solid" diff cover
new perches and brackets

tomorrow my Detroit locker and 4.56 gears should be showing up at work. Then it will be time to put it all together....

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Cool, I am to the point of removing the shafts but I don't want to make too much noise (kids are all asleep). I will do that tomorrow. I still need to order my diff cover and perches. But for right now I am just going to tear it down and remove brackets and prep for welding the new ones on.... things like that.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Oh... and I am getting and fridge for the man cave tomorrow. Full size side by side.... neighbors are moving and giving it to me.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I got my state inspection and new sticker for my tags done today and tomorrow I am changing my power steering pump. Wednesday I am tackleing my floppy steering wheel. I know it is just three bolts backed out but I will do a good inspection while in there. I hate that kind of Jeep work. Much rather it be turning wrenches that fighting with spring clips and such tiny stuff.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

yep thats me

Thought you didn't get on here cuz it's too many forums to keep up with.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Just placed the order for my JRC Off Road Stage 1 front bumper, and waiting for my black headlight bezels to come in as well

Nice! I was eyeballing a bumper like that to replace mine but decided I'm not hard core enough to need it. If you have black Sport parts in decent condition I might be interested in acquiring them.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Sorry, my XJ is a solid white Classic. I am going for a white on black color scheme, as my signature says, I am building a Stormtrooper Transport. Black bumper, black tint, and when I get them black steelies on 31s with a 3 inch lift. Its just one section at a time

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

You need to get a PA that plays the "Imperial March".... That would be FREAKING SWEET!!!

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

just ordered two black 5" x 5" Imperial Cog stickers to place in the each side of my jeep below the Trail Rated emblem
