What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I'd check your brakes first just to make sure it isn't something caught up in them.... then next on the list would be unit bearings. Yuck.

Must have been something in the brakes because the noise is magically gone. I just put Timken hubs on a few months ago along with new ujoints in the front.

If you need a garage that's a little warmer this weekend, let me know.

Thanks Brian, just need to see when they come in. Need to get CSP or AT Fab to put some lower control arm skids on before I throw the WJ control arms. Id like to do all of them while I'm down there.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Took out the expanded steel bulkhead behind the back seat the US Forest Svc. put in. Installed a CD MP3 stereo and got a better set of floor mats!

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I had my CB wired like that, and I hated it. Sometimes when trail riding you want to turn off your jeep, but still be able to hear CB traffic.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

thats why i normally get one of those 12v spliters for your power outlet and wire the cb into on of the two outlets and it works fine, and its removable. but i still have to turn the keys to on or acc.

I ran my CB power off the power outlet on the passenger side and it has constant power. I used an old hard drive connector for the power so I could remove it.

Started the front 44 swap this weekend. Hopefully have it in with the long arms in a few more days. Next step 36's :)

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

SO i AM SICK OF FREEZE PLUGS....

Freeze plugs..... take three.

Yup I replaced my manifold on the DD and found this. I think I found my exhaust leak. All I did was hit it lightly with my hand and it came apart.

that showed me this

So I made it puke out its insides so I can replace yet another set of freeze plugs. And yes I set them in a bit this time to.

the rest of the install was just typical so no pics of that.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

looks like that jeep has some miles on it. the intake ports are as black as the exhaust ports.
