What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I thought about contemplating a trip to the JY for a door. *sigh* I REALLY don't want to screw with this crap...

What happened to your door?

Last time I went to Barnwell I slapped the drivers side on a ravine and busted out the glass. I figured it's cheaper to JY a whole door than buy new glass.

I checked, and it's $126 for a new window shipped. Hopefully I pay less than that for the door. I guess I could try and pull the glass in the JY, but that might be a major pain in the ass.

Looked at all my new parts... Though about what color to paint them.

Wished I had the rest of the parts I need.

Or follow mrs Goodburbons lead.
Paint them pink and black diagonal stripes.

It's certainly less likely to get stolen that way...

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

got a call from the jeep service place, they said it would take another day to have my new DD all repaired and ready for me to drive. :D

What are they doing to it?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Glass SHOULD be the same...I dunno...I'll give you a door!

*laugh* Thanks! I just don't want to steal a door and not be able to use it. When would you be available for a pickup? I'm about 2.5 hours from you (you're at Barksdale, now, right?) so I could drive out one day this weekend or next and pick it up.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

i think if your jeep is newer and you are getting an older door it wont work. i think the latch pin is in a different location on the newer body style (higher up i think) and the windows are different. there is a write up on here somewhere where a guy put newer doors on an older xj. ill see if i can find the link.
