What is the max tire size you can put on a stock TJ. Please don't recycle stuff you've read on other forums, if you've seen it work without rubbage please let me know.

30x9.5 was available from the factory, dunno if that is maximum size that actually fits though.

We have 30x950's on one TJ [daughters], other one is getting 31's, both stock height, no rubbing disconnected off roading. Guys I trust on BMJA say 33's but with some rubbage, steering stop adjustments for sure, and leave it connected at both ends, quick cheap fix for that is either a budget lift w/2" spacers or 1-2" body lift with the 1-2" engine lift to match so that the fan does not eat the rad shroud, sstops still need to be adjusted. When you lift a shortie body the rad goes up with it and the engine stays where it is and some linkage n floor sheetmetal work too under the shifter boots :D
Be interesting to see my sons TJ when the 31's go on, it has all 5 AR23's on it with a different backspacing, they stick out further, and currently has P225's GY wranglers and they look too small. Should have measured the backspacing when we did the brakes this summer but did not think of it at the time.

My buddie ran 32x 10 on his TJ for the longest time with minimal rubbage but only offroad
