Hey all.
Just trying to tune in my new stroker motor but the problem is I'm not familiar with the sound of pre-ignition. I've heard the ol' "marbles in a tin can" thing but that pretty much sounds like a flowmaster muffler drone to me. I happen to have a 40 series flowmaster as well so over the sound of my MT's, the exhaust, and wind noise I'm finding it hard to determine if I have ping or not.
Is pre-ignition ping loud enough to hear in the cab? Louder than a fuel injector tick? Would it be very apparent if I have ping or not?
