I think i'm going to go with Yukon's F&R, will I be okay without chromoly shafts up front? I will be running a 35" MT, with no locker, as of now.

as long as you drive within the abilities of your rig you will be fine...and carry spare shafts in case you want to expand on those abilities :D

I don't get to many wild hairs, especially since my daughter is usually with me. Okay now onto the next question. Who has the best prices on gears and shafts?

F: D30 Yukon chro-mo shafts & super joints, Lockrite
R: D44 Stock Dana/Spicer , Lockrite
35" tires

Same shafts front and rear, except a 4.88 ratio and OX's.

I really like it. Power, mileage are both acceptable, selectable lockers rule.

Summit has Superior's.

these are just a few I found on that site. I had to end up looking through all the TJ, YJ, XJ and finally found these under the ZJ listings. Hope this helps ya out.

Later-

Thanks, I guess I didn't look hard enough. So does that mean that all of the TJ, YJ, and ZJ axles are the same lengths as the XJ? Are all years of the XJ shafts interchangeable?

Fullwidth 9"/D44. 5.13's, 35's. Doesnt do as bad as you'd think with the automatic, but if I were driving it on the road any distance I'd go with 4.88's or a bigger tire. Its a pretty good combo for wheelin though.

why was it going to cost so much to swap the front 44? How were you planning on setting it up? The only thing it cost me was the material to make my steering components. I just used the stock radius arms for the time being and put johnny joints on the frame end of the arms. A DD might need a little more fine tuning though.

This is my DD! It travels at speeds of up to 80mph on 500mi round trips. I need something that is secure enough that I can trust it with my wife and 2 1/2yr old daughter:heart: So I was looking at the TNT Truss kit which is around 300, plus gears, plus install, plus steering, so that is like at least close to 700 bare minimum.

So how about the axle lengths? Are TJ,YJ,ZJ D30's the same length and also 27 splines?
