What does it feel like when your torque converter slips?

What does it feel like when a torque converter slips?

It feels like something in my '90 auto 4.0 is slipping. I don't know, it's very hard to describe what it does. Almost like someone had let off the gas, except the RPMS don't drop.

Originally I was thinking it may be my throttle position sensor, but as it is, it has 4.68v going in, and 3.91 going out, which equals to about 83.5%, when 82% is supposedly ideal(?).

The revs changw when it happens an easy way to tell how it slips is when you are say on the freeway hold your foot on the gas pedal and then lightly press down on the brake pedal you will feel what feels like the car is changeing from 4 to 3 but really what it is the TC unlocking.

Usually when something is slipping, the RPM´s go up, with a constant or modetrate gas pedal. I had an old AW4 that would slip in low gear when it was cold, I just tried to keep the gas constant and/or reduce it a bit, when starting out.
I watch my torque converter lock up at around 2000 RPM on a flat road, the RPM´s drop about 500. I add gas slowly and keep an eye on the tach.
When the low gear slips, the RPM´s go up a few hundred with a constant pedal. Low gear was slipping a bit for like 30,000 miles, just something I kept in mind, but didn´t panic about much.
Noticed when my TPS was out of adjustment (on my new to me 88 ), it would sometimes hunt for a gear, like it couldn´t make up it´s mind wether it wanted to shift or not, under certain throttle positions. Usually with a constant throttle, below half (1/3 to 1/2 throttle). I could accelerate through the problem zone pretty quick.
TPS adjustment and a good ground cleaning. seemed to solve the problem. I also adjusted the TV cable, but it wasn´t out of position at all, so I´d guess that wasn´t a contributing factor, for me.
Mine seems to work a bit better, at like 85-86%, Jneary recommends 86-88%. Worth a try for a couple of days, just to see what happens.
I had one TPS, that had a hitch or something in it, with an analoge meter on ohms, when I applied throttle, there was a little hitch or hesitation (the needle would jump a touch) at about 1/3 throttle opening.
