What do you use to clean your AEM filter?

I have an AEM dryflow cone filter installed as part of the FIPK kit in my '01 XJ. It's definitely overdue for a cleaning. Can I just use some Simple Green or do I have to use the AEM cleaning kit? What do you use to clean yours?

If that filter is anything like a K&N, then you can really wash it with whatever you want and make sure its clean, then apply the "oil" and let it sit.

AEM does NOT use oil to assist filtration.

I run a conical AEM DRYFlow filter. I remove the filter from my Jeep, then use my compressed air to dislodge dust from the inside, then I mist the filter with Simple Green and then move it into water in a 5 Gal bucket, similar to this process: http://www.aempower.com/cleaning.aspx
