What do side lamp screws attach to?

The orange colored side lamps next to the headlight have two screws that are loose as a goose. They don't grab onto anything. I ordered new trim pieces and the hole sizes on the new ones look to be the same as the old ones. I'm not sure how the lights ever stayed in place.

Is there something I'm missing here? Should there be a clip of some sort that the screws go into?

If you can't find larger stainless steel screws, I think #6 trim screw is what is in there or maybe a #8, I think a #10 would be too large.

I will look at mine tomorrow and see what size is there and post back. NEXT THING YOU COULD DO

IS, get some JB weld or body Bondo epoxy and fill the holes and redrill new holes. I have

done that on my Fiberglass motorhome body and it's holding up good. They also have clip-on

speed nuts that slides over the holes. you Might be able to get those at autozone or the likes.

I went through this a month ago. The screws that hold in those side markers are #8 x 1.25" long.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up a pack of #10 x 1.25" in panhead, and you're good to go.

Thanks for the help. Still not sure what those screws ever held onto but I will pick up the bigger screws and try them. If that doesn't work, I'll try the JB Weld and drill new holes.
