I bought a pair of diff guards for my 90 xj.

Anything special I need to do to install them.

I would guess, I would have to unbolt the cover, reclaim the oil in a pan

remove the old gasket, create a new one from silicon, and bolt on the guards and the cover.

Anyway I can avoid loosing the oil and having to create a new gasket.

What style of guard is it? You should be able to bolt it up without loosing oil.

if they have silicone on em right now then the cover shouldnt come flying off when you take the bolts out
