What did you do to your XJ today

Congrats brother!

I did, but this one is close enough.

97 5spd, 3in lift w/ 31x10.50 AT's, 8.25 rear, tight newer clutch, great t case, tranny and super strong motor.

Ok first you will need axles, then a motor, new t-case, u-joints. Springs, seats, shifter, back hatch shocks. Tint the window and you should a pretty good trail rig!!!

IN (for the work party)
...also I have a tint guy if you need one.

Made progress on bumper build

Good job, looks like I better step it up adding my extra inch of lift. Lol

Steering Upgrade...... got a late start on it Saturday, because the girl decided she wanted to go to a birthday party afterall.... and took the Jeep.....
So decided to get the bars prepped, primed, and painted, and the one TRE reamed.....
Saturday night got most of the stock linkage off, and STARTED to pull the pitman arm off the stock gear box.....
3 hours later..... I called it a night (11pm) and went to bed.
This morning (Sunday) started in on it again, and after two more hours, a 5 gallon bucket of PB blaster, a thermo-nuclear device worth of applied heat, and enough swings of a BFH to bring down the empire state building.... I finally got the damn thing to fall to the floor.

The rest of the day has been spent installing the new spacer plate, and durango box, reaming the knuckles, and hooking up hoses and such.
I STILL have the bars and TRE's to put together and install.....
Thats going to have to wait till later... (Monday PM)

Planning on a back to the basics build? I think out of all the people I've met on this site, you have gone though more builds then all.

The ZJ was not worth fixing and I Miss the basics of a Budget XJ..

I dont have a solid plan.. right now. The only "Plan" is to put some Time/money into the XJ, Try to build a mild RELIABLE setup.. and decide after NWF..

For the record.. the ZJ was my second Build.. :spin1:
