What did you do to your XJ today

I built a Steering Box Brace, $3.56 for the U-bolt at Park Rose Hardware. Steel was free from some well planned steel dumpster diving!!! A little black paint & about an hour of time.

Great job. It looks better than the one I bought

Fired up the xj and let in run a while. It fired right up and still runs great, I need to decide if im gonna build something out of it or part it out. The wife wants to buggy it.

I also got the electric fans mounted in the mj, now just need to wire them up.

Went to Carl's Jr for lunch and flexed parked. came out and a Toyota was next to me flexed pared on the same parking bump.

Pulled the orbital batterie out of the Zj. And tossed it in the xj
Knew I had a moisture problem.. But yikes

To my surprise it only took about 300 cranks to begin to fire.

Letting it idle for a few hours, with the windows cracked open and heat on high..

Plan is to pull the carpet, fix the wing window leak. And try a new TPS for the trans issue (reason I parked it in October)

Get one of those dri-z-air moisture absorbent deals. I have one in the XJ, works great.

Or use the cheaper version news papers soak up water and the moister in your car. I've heard that kitty litter soaks up moisture in the air also.

Unplugged that pesky electric fan then went and played in the snow and did a little shooting up near Cochran. I really love it up there.

Couldn't get to this road so I'll have to save that for next time.

Me and some buddies were up Cochran a few days ago riding snowmobiles. That place is pretty sweet for snow.

Finally got the "carnage" fixed from the trophy challenge. New steering box and lower trac bar bushing replaced. Drove around the block and heard a new noise, sounds like a blown shock, scott might know why its blown...

Also swapped out the upstream o2 sensor, and did an oil change.
