What did you do to your XJ today

Not all of us have the tools to do any fab work. Then there are some people that don't have time. so for $30-40. if you spend $10-20 in parts that leaves 20 an hr... Do you make 20 an HR at home? and when you make mutably time will e saved making him more an Hr....
So if he could sale 5 a month average that is less then a days of work and provide an extra 100 for wheeling..Or a tank of gas and dinner on the cost with the old lady

It is always worth it to work for yourself. More Pride in yourself, more pride in your work. And if you do something you love to do. (building things, welding ,writing, cooking) what ever you like doing is always worth doing even if you make less money doing it. life and work is not about the money its about providing for yourself and your family. Having extra is always nice but it is not what makes you you.. You are who you are because of what your do not what you have.

Looks good! Built one about 2 weeks ago. Sure made a nice difference in steering feedback.

That's weird, I thought it felt different driving it home. Not that box was of felt loose of flexing, it just felt tighter.

I bet that it isn't worth the time. to make it worth his while he would charge the same amount that you could buy one

Probably true Ben, I saw them on the net for as low as $55. I would build one to help some one out, but not to make money. I got lucky, I had all the tools & steel to do it.

Mine is made by Moore it was more expensive than 55.00 dollars but it's beefy.

Ditto. I built Jason some stuff in trade for beer. It's not really worth it in the long run. And by the time you do this for A living all day long you really don't want to do it when you get home.

O I saw rhem from $55 all the way to $189 I think was the most expensive. Some of the off road companies are very proud of their steering box brace!!!

Yeah they are but mine is beefy, so I would rather pay more for something thats built to last, or you could go the other direction buy something that breaks, or doesnt work at all. Those are your three options. Well build one, and steel seems pretty expensive now days, plus my welder is pretty small. Lincoln Weld Pak 125

Since I've installed my Moore brace my steering wheel has stayed pretty centered. Before I would off road and on the drive home my steering wheel was off more often that not. I now need to work on a track bar brace, this will need to be made from stratch, since I have a hybrid setup. I tryed a Rubicon Express setup that didnt work very well on my Jeep.

The point was to save money.. That silver was all that CJ had on the shelf. Painted it while it was hot.
