What did you do to your XJ today

When I said it smoked it really was rolling smoke from under the hood and under the jeep.

lol its black like used motor oil. trans shop thinks I welded 2 gear clutches together.it was trying and was sucesfull in shifting into 3 2 times but it wasnt shifting all the way so we think it burned up thoes as well. I drove it about 45-50 miles after it started slipping. I am going to get it into the shop and have them look for codes and then go from there. there was a thought of the tcm being bad. I guess its good the guy at aamco also driver tow truck for us when we need a fill in. And ya it was really hot I was running with the heater off and window down the coolent was running about 240, untill I stopped and let it cool.

Looks like a nearly flat road.....maybe 6-10" of snow (give-or-take)....traction tires....I think a country DRIVE in the snow is just fine by one's self......
Thanks for the awesome pic Rockbilly!

X2. I wheel alone in the summer. But no way in winter.

Nice pics rockbilly. I enjoyed wheelin with you last month. I urge you to wheel with atleast one other rig..

There's just too many factors. And it takes no time for it to become life and death!

I built a Steering Box Brace, $3.56 for the U-bolt at Park Rose Hardware. Steel was free from some well planned steel dumpster diving!!! A little black paint & about an hour of time.
