What did you do to your XJ today

Awesome thanks. And now can you make it cheaper? heh heh

Just buy the harbor freight set. I don't see why you would have a problem with it if everything was prepped and in correct alignment?I've actually been working on designing a portable ball joint driver set. This way I can carry them with me, in the invent I blow a set of ball joints out when a universal joint breaks.

I've used that tool for countless u-joints..... and now even in the hands of someone else, its still doing just fine. Maybe I got a good one, maybe others got ones that had defects in the cast of the "C" ..... i dunno....what I DO know is IF that thing ever gives up the ghost I'll go buy another one from HF in a heartbeat. (.....and I'll use a 20% off coupon too!)

Well I discovered that my Turdyfive well pooped :puke: out the cross shaft or spiders didnt really feel like pulling the cover in the rain but its all dented up from the inside so I know its toast. But I got a line on some 4.11 30 disco and turdy5 for a trade on a spare AX-15 I have so Ill swap those in sometime soon I hope then start the hunt for a 8.8 lsd 4.10's. Im happy I found a disco 30 withh 4.11's in it because Im not real happy with my 3.73's and 285's hopefully Ill be able to tell the gear change.

Wow, thats some carnage! Did it happen while driving or wheeling?
Good luck on the 8.8 hunt man, thats a good direction to go.

I think i have an 8.8 with 3.73s and disc breaks. I need to double check the gear ratio but i can if you interested.

Yeah I definitely got lucky, barely lost any fluid even after sitting in the driveway all week with me not noticing. Gonna order a ruffstuff cover in the morning & hopefully it won't take too long to get here.

O2 sensors
Cap and rotor
Champion plugs
Wires
Mopar crank sensor
Mopar cam sensor
Checked cylinder pressure : 130 - 150
Checked fuel pressure : 48 - 50

And the damn thing still has a bit of a miss....

I did something like this to my 89 a while back, and it did the same thing as yours. Had that miss, not running just right. It was the map sensor tube & fitting at the TB. The plastic tube if held up to light looked like a spring it was so cracked. So I replaced it with rubber hose, and a little gasket goo for the fitting on the TB. It ran fine after that.
