What did you do to your XJ today

I was productive this week so far.
No more flux core welding

Got the new rear main and oil pan gasket on the motor from the red mustache ride.

Also another reason I need a bigger garage... my front end takes up half my garage

Finally replaced the smiley faced drag link last night. Headed to Firestone today for alignment.

Also discovered that when I high centered on that boulder on FB5 I broke my D30 skid/slider in 4 places. Time for a rock crusher cover and new skid.
 
measured my beefy CJ front driveshaft for install in the rear, Only to find out its 2.5" too short:doh:
 
Decided to play around with the forklift and the XJ........(pics dont do it justice)

Looks like a nice sunny afternoon to dick around!

Edit: Personally I am sitting here in the office looking out the window wishing that I was driving the XJ with the windows down....the beach or Browns would do just fine right now.

Installed my overhead console that I got from a local salvage yard for $50 with the harness and everything. Since it came out of a 2000 and I have a 2000 the wiring was really easy because it was plug and play. Everything works great. Now all I have to do is get a temp sensor for it and source some key fobs so I can program them in to have keyless entery which I have never had.
 
So I washed it and had the tires balanced and then on my way home I think it jumped time or maybe the rotor took a chit.I was at stop and took off and it popped and started running really rough :shiver: and the CL popped up.Im going to go out and read the flashing CL to find out what it says.
 
So I got a code 12 and code 27

Code 27 -Injector control circuit-bank output driver stage does not respond properly to the control signal.
Code 27-Injectors No. 1, 2, or 3 control circuit and peak current not reached.

Code 12-Memory to controller has been cleared within 50-l00 engine starts.

Other code 27 stuff from CF
27 Injector circuit isn't switching when it's told to (TBI)
OR (MPI) injector circuit #1 not switching right
OR (turbo) injector circuit #2 not switching right
OR (all 1990-) injector output driver not responding
- check computer, connections
 
Finally got the new LED's in yet created a problem...when I went to put the headlamp knob back on it broke the headlamp switch...bought a new one from the parts store yet Ill probably end up replacing it again because the build quality of it is terrible.
 
yesterday i soldered my radiator shut since it had a hole in it put everything back together. still drips a small amount of coolent so im gonna put some stop a leak in it today hopefully itll work. Goal for the day is try to get brake peddle and possibly wire ignition switch
