What did you do to your XJ today

Relocated solenoid box to the back of the engine compartment, and finally wired up and tested the in-cab controls.

Took it to americas tire to find out why I was loosing air out of all 4 tires. Turns out it was my skull valve caps. They have a little pin inside them and were slightly pushing the stems in. I also had a small bead leak on the right front tire so they fixed that one and resealed the other 3 just incase. They even gave me 4 free valve stem caps and hooked me up with new lug nuts for half price. Cause all my lugs were pretty chewed up.

Sent from my mind cause I'm so Awesome.

Picked up four 7.5" TJ RE coils - contemplating whether to sell two and just lift the XJ more, or collect parts (thanks to nightfoam's input) and work my way into a rear coil conversion. If I decide to sell two I'll post em in the for sale section!

Ran it, yelled at it, and added a few new parts like rear liftgate bumpstops to get the rear to quit rattling. All the electrical stuff that wouldn't work the other day now works just fine. Argh!

Found out that both of my brake lights were out o i replaced those, washed it, cleaned the inside, and then i reglued my rear view mirror back on for the stalker before my drive test tomorow so everything is all ready to go

Did new headlights and a bumper on the stocker...

As you can see, I don't care. So I didn't even paint the bumper...

Found that my cigarette lighter fire had melted some of the vacuum hose harness that runs the "I don't want defrost-only" doors.

I cut out the two sections thinking it would be an easy splice-fix but man-o'-man did they use tiny vacuum hose. NAPA had nothing like that. I got the next biggest thinking if I use a heat gun I can get the smaller stuff over the splice connectos, but of course (it couldn't be easy, right?) NAPA didn't have any of the splice connectors for vacuum hose of that size.

Argh!

Off to the Arctic North Slope tomorrow for work so this project will have to wait.

Could you get some more of the factory stuff and use electrical heat shrink to splice it?
