What did you do to your XJ today

so the dumb### told his insurance company that I hit him:soapbox: even though the police report clearly shows and states that he was making a lined left turn into the gas station and hit me in the parking lot.

That is standard. People are always trying to point the finger and not owning up to their mistakes. If there is anyone who you know witnessed it, get that info. Otherwise turn a copy of the police report in to the insurance company and let them hack it out. If you have not already, contact your insurance company.

The last accident I was in was from my first Jeep XJ. The lady was so in to her own world, she neglected to see me and flipped a U-turn into me. When i contacter her insurance company for a rental car, they said she implied I was speeding. I was in a school zone pacing the person in front of me just under 20 mph. When the adjuster saw where I was hit, there was no question to her neglect. I couldn't believe that the officer did not cite her. If it were me (a man) they would have cited me in the circumstance. This is a crazy world we live in.

Tackled one of the most difficult projects i've had yet on my XJ.

Oil filter o-rings.... seriously?

WTF designed that oil filter adaptor and put a torx bit with an inch and a half of clearance..

im willing to bet there is a bit more clearance when the engine isnt in the vehicle when the engine was being built lol

i went and picked up a 23 spline aw4 from that one guy who was selling it lol. now i just need a spacer so i can mount my d300

It's not WHAt I did, it's what im ABOUT to...

Painted my JCR rear bumper and installed it. Re-painted the tank skid plate.....then today I get to install it. My new leaf spring already came UPS today so thats in the future to, but I'm going shooting today so it will have to wait :viking:

What are you shooting and where.

I'll be using my Bushmaster AR15...and my kahr PM40. Only bringing 2 so I dont have to clean more then that haha. Got a buddy that has some property to shoot at. Just for fun  Then I'm off to the NRA banquet at the Clark County Fairgrounds after that. Good Times!

Put the bumper I got from Arron up to the jeep to get a look at what it would look like. Well looks like I'm going to have some work cut out for me to get it to look like what I would like lol.

Not to sure what I will do to it yet but it is going to need a make over before I like it lol.

Its going to get some down sizing for sure. This is the way it came to me and the first time I have had it up to the jeep to see what it would look like, now I know and I know I'm going to be giving it a make over lol.

and for some reason the drag link i got was too small for my adjusting sleeve so I improvised i squeezed the sleeve together as much as I could, thread the end in and welded a little stint across the gap to keep the sleeve from stripping off.

Well, my "jeep" adventure actually started yesterday. After spending the last week trying to track down a couple of 11/16 jam nuts, I finally found them. So I drove out to BFE to R&P 4Wheeldrive around noon, only to find a note on the door "back at 1:30". So I sat for an hour and a half waiting for them to return so I could get my goodies.

Today started out grabbing new rod ends from NAPA, which they managed to missplace, so it took 20 minutes longer than it should have. Then I make the trek up to Dustins place (which also happens to be in BFE). Realized I forgot the wheel lock, so I drove back home. Then... back to Dustins to flip the driverside tie rod end. Been sitting on the inserts for a cpl years now and figured I'd better do something with them. So... after 3-4 hours of cussing and kicking (like all my projects) and a TON of help from Dustin, I finally got er done !

Dustin also noticed that my steering box bolts were loose, and my lower track bar bolt, and my upper track bar bolt, and my pit man arm rod end, and the track bar mount bolts, and, well you get the picture. :dunce:

HOLY CRAP does it ride and drive nice now though !

Its amazing what snug steering does for the ride quality. THANK YOU DUSTIN !
