What did you do to your XJ today

Padding added to the door bars and mirror painted black.
I was able to change the drivers side brake pads but not the pass side. 2 of the lug nuts are missing the thin acorn outer and i don't have the 18mm to get it off. So now i gotta go to America's tire to get new ones so i can.

Got the rear main seal in, sand blasted the oil pan, waiting for paint to dry to install it tomorrow.

Had to adjust the exhaust back into place to drop the tranny pan.

Cleaning and sand blasting the tranny pan and letting the tranny drip dry tonight

I'll have to check on mileage - I bought the last set in 2008. I think that's a pretty decent amount of time considering I drive it daily and make the 300 mile round-trip from Vancouver to Seattle about once a month. I have run BFG All Terrainss before on other trucks, and loved them, so I almost went with them again. But I'll be darned, I just decided to pull the mud terrain trigger again for some reason at the last minute! I like how they perform and I guess the extra rolling resistance and road noise is worth it to me. This is technically my 3rd set of BFG KMs on this XJ. I had the original tread pattern first. I did notice the last set was getting pretty squirrely on wet roads though, once you wear through the thick tread block 'sipes' .. . if you can even call them that. Some tread blocks are split from the factory.

Picked up a lock right for the dana 30 for $100. Looks to be perfect!
Now I just gotta get scheduling figured out with 4play so I can finally get my gears done....

Oh, and I found a tiny drip from my trans cooler line. Think I got too rough on this last radiator install (#3 in 3 months) and I bought all new replacements but I'm over these lame ass trans lines. I'm just gonna order some hose and all the fittings from summit and run the aeroquip startlite (I think its called) all the way from trans to cooler and back.

So if anyone needs some new trans lines still in the packaging let me know

Took my intake manifold off to evaluate the crack rumbling in my exhaust manifold... ..it's bad! 30k miles and this APN header is now toast, crumbling at the collector and cracked at several of the individual pipe junctions... put it back together because I have to drive it some more now until I can get a new part. Any suggestions/experiences with other aftermarket headers?

Hmmm....33" whitewalls on an XJ.... I wonder.....

The YJ got some work done to it yesterday. Dana 44, truss, long arms, and sitting on it's tires and wheels installed. Cycled suspension to get an idea about mounting the air shocks. Also, today, I picked up a ford 9 with new 5.13 installed and new set of matching gears for my dana 44!
