What did you do to your XJ today

My front ARB had been acting up lately and started unlocking under load. Turns out it lost all preload on the carrier and took 0.016" in shims to bring it back into spec. Back up and running now.

I am back, haven't been around in a long time! so here it is, sold my 89 XJ like an idiot a few years ago. Recently just picked up an 02 TJ.
Congrats on the new-to-you Jeep.
Any pics you'd like to share?

Got my unit bearing swapped to a new one, no more vibes/drone when turning right lol

Pics of the welds for ya guys

^top right side is my claim to fame lol jk, but its nice knowing that after a 7-8 year hiatus of never welding that I can kinda get back in to it, just need to start doing it more to get back to how good I was before.
The others, note to self: still hate welding upside down... Lol

Question to all you guys: I don't remember if the V8 tie rod has a bend towards where it connects to the steering link on the pass. Side, does it? If not, then some how I managed to bend mine.....

Put my fire extinguisher in, changed serpentine belt, and put in new window motor assembly for the passenger front door
Mind some constructive criticism?

those Wal-mart 2.5lb Extenguishers are nifty.. BUT.. the mount they use is VERY weak.. and will break from the forces of how you have it mounted.. Could be at 75mph on the freeway, or 3mph on the trail.. What if it falls on your head/lap and suprises you enough to jerk the wheel? Or.. what if it falls and the Valve breaks?

I'd get a different mount.. and Go much lower..

just my opinion:)

Mine survived a trip to Alaska and back and everything since then with no problem. It did however lose it's pressure, make sure you have it checked like any fire extinguisher should be.

I would never mount a fire extinguisher that high/close to the passengers. Down low in the back as far away from passengers but still easily accessible.

I simply though to myself. AHHH, The benefits of being Hobbit sized!

You wont die if you breathe in a little,(they would stop making them) it will last as long as the needle is in the "green". Id be looking in to the mount breaking theory, but other than that, W/E Floats your boat!

Bronze.

I put mine in the back cubby. I know it's not ideal, but better than not having one. I figure I'm more likely to use it on some one else's car daily driving than mine while out wheeling.

Just so you know. I hope you do, but you are wrong. The smallest amount in closed quarters
Can and will take the oxygen out of your lungs.
